The medical supplies company has delivered new equipment to hospitals throughout the country, working with both NHS and private facilities within the ENT and gynecology sectors.
Multiple XION Medical EndoFlex stacks were installed by the team at locations including Hillingdon Hospital in London, the Royal Bolton Hospital, and Mater Misericordaie University Hospital in Dublin.
Medifa and gMotio examination chairs were supplied to gynaecological departments across the UK, including Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital, London.
Additionally, March saw the DP team working with eight Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) in the Midlands to supply the company’s own groundbreaking MediScan technology. The system, available in HD format, provides clinicians with a safe and secure pathway for recording, storing and encrypting patient gynaecology examinations for analysis and archiving.
Rob Atkinson, managing director at DP Medical, said: “March was an incredibly busy month for us and marked our best month ever, with numerous installations and deliveries taking place throughout the country.
“It’s great to see healthcare teams investing in the latest technology and we’re very proud to be supplying such high calibre systems from our partners, as well as our own technology – MediScan – which is making a real difference to the important work of SARCs across the UK.”
A key project for DP Medical during March was the installation of colposcopy equipment for Kings College in London. The installation demonstrated collaboration between DP’s partners and showcases the latest in HD imaging technology, with the Matrix E camera from Xion Medical producing high resolution images of patient examinations via its connection to the SOM 52 LED binocular colposcope, from KAPS GmbH.
The image is received into DP’s MediScan software, providing patient management alongside image and video capture whilst integrating with other software applications stored on the Trust network.
Rob added: “These are exciting times for DP and our partners as we are able to offer our customers more innovative technology than ever before, helping healthcare professionals to work more efficiently as well as improve patient outcomes, too.”
